Job Description:
Chambering Student
- Assist Partners and Legal Associates in litigation matters, including drafting cause papers, pleadings, affidavits, submissions and legal correspondence
- Attend court proceedings, case managements, and hearings under supervision, and take notes for follow-up actions
- Support work in conveyancing and corporate matters (such as contract/agreement drafting) to gain exposure across various practice areas
- Conduct legal research on statutes, case laws, and procedural rules, and prepare concise research notes or opinion writing
- Assist in preparing briefs to counsel and matters related to briefing out
- Review and analyse documents, agreements, and correspondence as part of effective file management
- Liaise with clients, court officers, and relevant authorities for filing, service of documents, and status updates on matters

Qualifications and Requirements:
- A recognised law degree (LLB) (Second Class Upper and above) qualifying for admission to the Malaysian Bar / completed the Bar / completed CLP
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for building client and team relationships
- Proficient in English and Malay for effective communication
- Adaptable and proactive approach to learning and professional development
- Disciplined, reliable and committed to learn
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
