Job Description:
1. Legal Assistant
The Role: Mastery, Independence & Partnership Track This position is for a litigator ready to handle sophisticated work and aspire to senior leadership. You will manage disputes independently while receiving direct, training from our Litigation Partner.
What You Will Do:
- Litigation: Lead cases involving defamation, IP disputes, and corporate boardroom battles.
- Cross-Border Advisory: Assist in advising Chinese GLCs on investment and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.
- Conveyancing Matters: Handle and execute conveyancing transactions, including sale and purchase agreements, financing documentation, and related property matters.
- Corporate Work: Assist in corporate and commercial matters, including drafting agreements, due diligence, and general corporate advisory work.
- Community Impact: Support the Partner in advisory and pro bono work through the Legal Bureau of Keadilan Selangor, making a tangible difference for society.
- Direct Advocacy: Lead the drafting of court papers, attend hearings, and take an active role in trials.
- Leadership Development: Engage in a structured pathway toward senior roles and prospective partnership.

- Work Ethic: A high-energy professional willing to put in the necessary time to meet the demands of complex cases.
- Attributes: Meticulous, and well-versed in Malay and English (Mandarin is an advantage for our China Desk).
Rewards & Perks:
- Base Salary: Starting from RM 4,300.
- Incentives: Attendance and Performance Allowances.
- Profit Sharing: Attractive extra commission for files referred to the firm.
- Wardrobe Allowance: RM 600 per year (pro-rated) for a professional court appearance.
- Professional Development: RM 300 yearly claimable for CPD courses.
