Job Description:
1) Legal Associate - 1 to 2 years PQE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our litigation team. You will work closely and directly with our Partner, gaining real mentorship and exposure while taking on meaningful responsibility from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Partner in managing and executing litigation matters end-to-end.
- Draft and prepare correspondences, legal documents, pleadings, cause papers, and submissions.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on statutes, case laws, and procedural rules.
- Attend court matters, hearings, and client meetings.
- Attend to MyIPO office actions.
- Liaise with clients, court officers, and relevant authorities professionally.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
2) Pupil in Chambers
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as a Pupil in Chambers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience and build a strong foundation in litigation practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Principal and Legal Associates in day-to-day litigation matters including the preparation of cause papers, pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and legal correspondence.
- Attend court proceedings, case managements, and hearings under supervision, and assist with follow-up actions thereafter.
- Carry out legal research on statutes, case laws, and procedural rules, and assist in summarising findings into clear research notes or written opinions.
- Assist in the preparation of briefs to counsel and all matters related to briefing out.
- Review and assist in analysing documents, agreements, and correspondence as directed.
- Assist in coordinating with clients, court officers, and relevant authorities on filing, service of documents, and matter updates.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1) Legal Associate
- LLB (Hons) and CLP with 1 to 2 years PQE. Newly admitted candidates and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Interest in building a career in intellectual property is an advantage, as the successful candidate will be exposed to all areas of IP-related work.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is a plus.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with a meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while managing deadlines efficiently.
- Sound judgment with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a responsible and result-driven attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
2) Pupil in Chambers
- LLB (Hons) and CLP. Candidates who have recently completed their degree or are awaiting Bar admission are welcome to apply.
- A genuine interest in intellectual property law and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin or other languages is an added advantage.
- Meticulous, disciplined, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines consistently.
- A team player with a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of professional responsibility.
- Capable of conducting basic legal research and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable adapting to legal research tools and systems.
Our office is located in Mont Kiara near Garden International School. However candidates are preferably required to have their own transport, as they may need to travel to court from time to time.
