Job Description:
Position 1 - General Litigation Lawyer
1. Handling civil litigation matters, including mediation, case management, hearings, and trials independently or in a team, whether conducted via eReview, Zoom/Skype, or in person (within or outside of the Klang Valley)
2. Liaising with clients professionally and responsively
3. Drafting and preparing legal documents such as correspondence, legal opinions, pleadings, cause papers, affidavits, submissions, and any other documents required by the Court or necessary for case preparation
4. Conducting legal research on relevant issues to support case strategies and court work
5. Managing files from start to finish, both independently and collaboratively
6. Managing court timeline and ensuring compliance of court direction strictly
7. Conduct trials and hearings independently and/or with minimal supervision
Position 2 - Pupil in Chambers (General Litigation)
1. Conduct in-depth legal research and assist lawyer(s) in developing case strategies.
2. Liaise with clients and solicitors on all matters relating to litigation cases.
3. Assist to prepare general litigation cause papers, bundles of documents, records of appeal, and related legal materials.
4. Draft and review letters and correspondence in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
5. Provide administrative and client support, including attending to calls and file management.
6. Managing case management, hearings, and appear to lower court after short call whether conducted via eReview, Zoom/Skype, or in person (within or outside of the Klang Valley)

Qualifications and Requirements:

2. Experienced in handling general litigation matters
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
4. Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
5. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage deadlines
6. Good interpersonal skills and professionalism when dealing with clients
7. Responsible, organised, and committed to delivering quality work

2. Hardworking, organised, ambitious and responsible
3. Possess good communication skills
