Job Description:
1. Senior Associate – Corporate M&A
The Role:
- Managing the preparation of legal advice to clients and where in cases involving more sophisticated or novel issues, to prepare the first draft of such advice.
- Taking a leadership role in managing the transactional process including due diligence process, managing day to day file management, providing strategic updates and actively contributing to discussions both internally and with the client.
- Reviewing due diligence reports and less complex transaction documentation prepared by juniors prior to partner review.
- Preparing main transactional documents.
- Proving guidance to junior members of the team and becoming a source of knowledge and
- Prepared to be involved in business development and client acquisition activities including actively contributing ideas and opportunities.
2. Associate – Real Estate
Job Description:
- Real estate transaction including sub-sales, land transactions, leases and tenancies.
- Rendering advice on stamp duty, land instruments, land related consents and land law.
3. Litigation Assistant / Clerk
Job Description:
- Prepare and format standard court documents.
- Draft Affidavits of Service, applications for substituted service, orders, judgments, notices, statement of claim and other related documents.
- Prepare appeal documents and affidavits according to court requirements, including arranging, marking, numbering, and photocopying exhibits.
- Prepare applications for leave to appeal and Appeal Records for the Court of Appeal and Federal Court.
- Draft court orders.
- Prepare documents for execution and foreclosure proceedings.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Senior Associate – Corporate M&A
The Essentials:
- At least 4 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
- Post admission working experience obtained at a corporate or commercial practice of a major commercial law firm in Malaysia is a must.
- Experience in an in-house role which involves special expertise or knowledge will be looked upon favourably.
- Sound technical knowledge of the law in company law with good analytical skills and able to - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
- Ability to work independently, have initiative and problem solve creatively.
- Motivated to work on high value and high-pressure matters.
2. Associate – Real Estate
Qualifications:
- Minimum second upper LLB and where applicable, with BPTC or CLP.
- Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
Requirement:
- 3 – 4 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Experience in negotiating, drafting and reviewing agreements for real estate transactions.
- Experience in retail banking documentation and process.
- Working experience in medium to large law firms.
- Strong command in written and spoken English.
- Able to work independently.
- Well-versed and able to handle the full process of real estate transactions.
- Good analytical and reasoning skills.
3. Litigation Assistant / Clerk
- Minimum Diploma in Law, LL.B., or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience with legal firm in litigation department.
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels.
- Independent and willing to work with minimum supervision – quality and quantity of work equally important.
