Job Description:
We are a boutique corporate law firm with collaborating firms in Vietnam and Indonesia. Together with our collaborating and best friends firms within the ASEAN region, we provide professionally oriented legal solutions for local and foreign clients to support their business and operations in Malaysia and beyond. We have also been ranked on Asialaw and IFLR1000.
As part of our continued growth and commitment, we are looking for dynamic and dedicated individuals to join our team. We invite applications for the following positions:
1. Pupil
2. Legal Clerk
Key Responsibilities for Pupil:
- Assisting partners with corporate, banking and real estate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, start-ups, foreign investments, financing transactions and property sale and purchase/ rental/ lease transactions.
- Conducting legal research to support the provision of legal advice on corporate, banking and real estate matters.
- Conducting legal due diligence in connection with corporate exercises.
- Drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate commercial agreements and transactional documents.
- Liaising with clients and other third parties including counterparties and their representing solicitors and governmental authorities.
Key Responsibilities for Legal Clerk:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to lawyers.
- Maintain and organize legal files, documents and records.
- Handle phone calls, emails and other correspondence professionally and confidently.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist in drafting simple legal documents.

Qualifications and Requirements for Pupil
1. L.L.B (Hons) with completion of BTC or CLP.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to read, speak and write Chinese is an advantage as we have an active China desk practice.
3. High level of responsibility, self-motivation and commitment.
4. Eagerness to learn, ability to quickly grasp legal concepts and willingness to accept feedback.
5. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

1. SPM and above with at least 1-2 years of experience in a legal firm.
2. Good administrative and secretarial skills and must be computer proficient.
3. Eagerness to learn and able to adapt fast.
4. Able to multitask, work under pressure and have good attention to details.
5. Experience with conveyancing matters is an advantage.
