Job Description:
1. Legal Assistant

(1) Property Legal Assistant

(a) Handling of conveyancing matters pertaining to Property sales, purchases, transfers and financing including tenancies;
(b) Preparation and maintenance of overall as well as individual status reports for files under his/her purview;
(c) Handling of Property Matters including preparation of Sales and Purchase Agreements; and
(d) Research, drafting and inputting of legal opinion based on research findings.

(2) Corporate Legal Assistant

(a) Handle and manage corporate commercial matters which include mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, joint ventures, share sale agreements, legal opinions and any other commercial contracts in general; and
(b) Research, drafting and inputting of legal opinion based on research findings.

(3) Litigation legal Assistant

Attending to litigation matters as assigned including but not limited to:
(a) Drafting pleadings, cause papers and submissions;
(b) Conducting research and preparing legal opinion;
(c) Preparing status reports and updates for Head of Department and clients; and
(d) Attending Court.


2. Pupil/Chambering

The Pupil will be exposed to Civil Litigation, Property (Conveyancing) and corporate work.


Qualifications and Requirements:
1 Legal Assistant
(1) Recognised academic and professional qualifications for law practice in Malaysia;
(2) Good interpersonal and communication skills;
(3) Written and spoken proficiencies in both English and the Malay languages;
(4) Meticulous;
(5) Computer literate; and
(6) Able to adapt to the Firm’s work culture.

2 Pupil/Chambering

(1) Recognised academic and professional qualifications for law practice in Malaysia;
(2) Good interpersonal and communication skills;
(3) Written and spoken proficiencies in both English and the Malay languages;
(4) Computer literate; and
(5) Willingness to learn.
