Job Description:
We are looking for a lawyer who wants to run files, not just carry them. Our associates are in court early and often. You will handle your own matters from instruction to disposal, with a senior counsel beside you, not above you. If you want court time, responsibility and a practice you can genuinely call your own, this is the seat for it.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1) Appearing in court for both contentious and non-contentious matters, you will be on your feet early and often
2) Drafting and preparing cause papers, bundles of documents, records of appeal and related filings
3) E-filing and managing matters through to disposal
4) Drafting correspondence and documents in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
5) Conducting legal research and case analysis that genuinely shapes strategy
6) LLB (or equivalent) and admitted, or eligible for admission, as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
7) Minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience
8) Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
9) Sound drafting, analytical and research skills
10) Able to work independently, manage deadlines under pressure, and contribute as part of a team
11) Own transport (regular court attendance required)
