Job Description:
CONVEYANCING LAWYER

Law Chambers of Azman Jaacob is seeking a responsible and motivated Conveyancing Lawyer to join our firm.

1) Handle conveyancing matters, including sale and purchase transactions, loan documentation, discharge of charge, deed of receipt and reassignment, perfection of transfer and charge, and other related property matters.

2) Draft, review and prepare legal documents, agreements, correspondence and relevant forms.

3) Liaise with clients, banks, developers, government departments, land offices and other relevant parties.

4) Monitor files closely and ensure all matters are completed within the stipulated timelines.

5) Attend to client enquiries, appointments, submissions, presentations and other assigned tasks promptly.

6) Provide regular updates on the progress of files and maintain proper file records.


Qualifications and Requirements:
1) Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

2) Possess one (1) to two (2) years of post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably in conveyancing practice.

3) Familiar with conveyancing procedures, loan documentation and dealings with land offices, banks and developers.

4) Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple files efficiently.

5) Responsible, organised, meticulous and able to meet deadlines.

6) Possess good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

7) Able to commute reliably to the office and attend appointments, submissions or other assigned tasks as required.

8) Prompt, responsive and able to attend to instructions and time-sensitive matters without delay.

9) Possession of own transport will be an advantage.
