Job Description:
We are a mid-sized law firm based in Publika, Kuala Lumpur, providing a broad range of legal services to corporate entities, government-linked companies, organisations, startups, and individuals. Our practice encompasses corporate and commercial work, as well as dispute resolution.
We are looking for a Junior Associate with 1-2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner in charge and other members of the team and will be involved in a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
What You Can Expect
As a Junior Associate, you will be involved in a wide range of matters, including:
• Trials, hearings and case management at all levels of the Courts in Malaysia, including the Subordinate Courts, High Courts and Appellate Courts, as well as proceedings before tribunals, and the preparation of all related cause papers and submissions;
• Corporate and commercial disputes and other civil litigation matters;
• Legal research and the preparation of legal opinions and advice on a variety of contentious and advisory matters;
• Drafting pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, correspondence and other documents; and
• Assisting with the overall conduct and management of matters from commencement through to hearing or trial.

• A recognised law degree (LLB) and admission to the Malaysian Bar;
• 1–2 years’ PQE in litigation and dispute resolution;
• Experience in corporate and commercial litigation would be an added advantage;
• Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, written and spoken;
• Strong legal research, drafting and communication skills;
• Independent, proactive and able to work under pressure;
• A responsible team player who is willing to assist and work collaboratively with other members of the team; and
• Possess own transport and be able to travel independently when required.
