Job Description:
Legal Associate (Litigation)
• Manage and conduct litigation matters from commencement to conclusion with minimal supervision.
• Handle files and cases independently, including attending to court proceedings, case managements, hearings, trials and appeals, where required.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence and other legal and court documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis using the Lexis Advance legal research platform.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, court officers, government authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
• Keep clients updated on the progress and outcome of their matters.
• Assist in complex litigation matters and undertake such other legal duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Assist in court attendances, case managements, client meetings and other legal proceedings, where required.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Legal Associate (Litigation)
• Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with a valid Practising Certificate.
• 1–3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin(added advantage), both written and spoken.
• Experience in insolvency and restructuring matters will be an added advantage.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proactive, responsible and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Able to manage multiple matters effectively and work within tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent qualification.

• Contract-based position requiring a minimum commitment of six (6) months.
