Job Description:
The Incumbent shall have overall responsibility in providing appropriate advice to ensure that the Company practices the highest standards of compliance to the relevant legal and statutory requirements pertaining to the business.
Job Description :
- Manage the overall operations of the legal unit, in line with the Company’s philosophy and business needs
- Provide appropriate legal advice on best practices for compliance, input on business decisions and contract negotiations, and legal strategies for litigation and other legal activities as may be required (including labour law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
- Review all relevant contracts, agreements, letters, proposals etc to ensure compliance to the prevailing laws and regulations, and raise issues that may have legal and statutory implications to the Company
- Keep abreast of legal and statutory development pertaining to the business of the Company, update and advise the Management accordingly
- Research legislative issues or statutes and review any regulation document when necessary.
- Draft and review contract such as leases, licenses, mergers, acquisitions and more.
- Prepare case evaluation and review case draft.
- Coordinate and arrange proceedings required for Legal and / or Arbitration.
- Provide the required documents to appointed Advocate for proceeding of Arbitration.
- Provide an assistance as required for Industrial Relation matters.
- Liaise with the HODs, Project Managers and external parties including consultants as may be required
- Present regular management reports
- Undertake special assignment, ad hoc factor and duties as and when necessary.

- Must possess at least a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent
- At least (5) years of working experience in related field.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal)

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good presentation skills
