Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic energetic Legal Associate to join our team (1-3 years PQE, or those with prior litigation experience encouraged to apply). Practice area is mainly in general litigation with a particular emphasis on Construction Law and CIPAA 2012.
We are keen on recruiting candidates whom have already been called to the Malaysian Bar, with LL.B (Hons) and CLP (Certificate of Legal Practice) and whom possess the following:-
1. Excellent command of English and Malay (verbal and written);
2. Ability to meet given deadlines;
3. Able to work on tasks with minimal supervision;
4. Good Time management skills ;
5. Excellent communication skills (be it in courtroom, colleagues or with clients);
6. Able to take on responsibility over an entire file assigned (with supervision);
7. Attention to detail;
8. Good work ethics such as punctuality, presentable for work, willingness to learn;
9. Knack for researching various legal areas;
10. Well versed with Malaysian Contract Law/ Rules of Court 2012 provisions/ Winding Up procedures would be preferred; and
11. Possesses own transport and/or can travel to Court or meet clients.
*Ability to understand and speak Mandarin is an added advantage

2. Pre-trial preparation;
3. Attending Case Managements and Hearings;
4. Communicating with clients to update them on progress of case, contacting Court personnel and opponent solicitors;
5. Assisting with Trials; and
6. Writing Articles for Legal Website.
Salary:
The salary commensurate with experience, attitude and eagerness to work and is negotiable.
