Job Description:
A) PEGUAM SYARIE


(1) Advice and represent client in Syariah Courts on Syariah matters and other legal proceedings.

(2) Act as liaison between the Firm and relevant stakeholders such as individual client, government and/or statutory bodies involved in the Syariah file/case as assigned.

(3) Drafting correspondence, research, analysing, formulating strategies, preparing cause papers, opinions, thinking and providing solutions on the Syariah cases assigned.

(4) Attending Court including among other trials, hearings, and case managements on Syariah Litigations cases.

(5) Efficiently attend to client’s file and deadlines, correspondences and to provide regular updates to the Direct Report and client on files/case assigned.

(6) Keep and maintain proper record of client and update client’s file status in MyLegalSoft system and any other system as provided/used by the Firm.

(7) Follow up payment for Professional Charges & Disbursement billed to client.

(8) Practice legal compliance and risk control, which may include participating in training and educational sessions.

(9) Source for new referral/potential business for Firm’s including attending prospect meeting.

(10) Any other duties as may be reasonably expected and required by the Firm which commensurate with the level of post.



B) ADMINISTRATION CLERK CUM RUNNER


(1) Assist on the administration of Firm’s assets/equipment such as vehicle, ICT equipment, photocopy machine, fax machine, printers, scanner, furniture, water dispenser and other equipment.

(2) Assist on e-filing Mahkamah, collect, and deliver documents from/send to Courts/Banks/Pejabat Tanah/LHDN/clients and other parties on time.

(3) To ensure all information concerning to document pick up, delivery is up to date in Despatch log book/file.

(4) Proactively responds to technical issue related to Firm’s assets/furniture/equipment/vehicles and liaise with supplier/vendor /contractor/service provider regarding repair and services.

(5) Assist on the purchase of new office furniture/tools/equipment including the ordering of stationaries, name card, rubber stamp, envelope, letter head and other required items.

(6) Asist on office renovation & repairs works as and when required.

(7) Keep and maintain proper filing system of administrative file.

(8) Any other duties as may be reasonably expected and required by the Firm which commensurate with the level of post.



Qualifications and Requirements:
A) PEGUAM SYARIE


• Possess a recognized Bachelor Degree in Syariah with Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Syariah Law and Practice (“DSLA”), Diploma in Administration of Islamic Judiciary (“DAIJ”) or equivalent.

• At least 4 (four) years’ experience in practice as Peguam Syarie.

• Holder(s) of Sijil Peguam Syarie Wilayah Persekutuan and/or Selangor

• Holder(s) of Sijil Peguam Syarie of Melaka, Negeri Sembilan or other state are encourage to apply.

• Possess own transport.

• Able to read documentS/transcriptS in Arabic.

• Good command of Bahasa Melayu and English with the ability to write concisely and with clarity.

• Expected personality traits: Organized and meticulous, analytical, resourceful, have positive attitude, take initiative and able to pro-actively anticipate clients need as well as an effective team player.

• Understand office etiquette & able to accept and adapt with the Firm’s work culture.

• Able to work independently and meet the deadlines.

• Willing to travel and able to attend to ad-hoc matters.



B) ADMINISTRATION CLERK CUM RUNNER


• Willing to work on full time basis.

• Minimum qualification: SPM/STPM/SKM/Diploma in any field.

• At least 1 year of working experience in Administration field.

• Good oral and written communication skills. Required languages: English and Bahasa Melayu.

• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

• Positive attitude, committed and able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Understand office etiquette & able to accept and adapt with the Firm’s work culture.

• Willing to travel and able to attend to ad-hoc matters.
