Job Description:
Conveyancing Lawyer:

1. Able to draft Sale & Purchase agreements and the relevant supporting documents including but not limited to Sub-sale Sale and Purchase Agreement independently and handle the file from beginning until completion of the matter.
2. Familiar with banking documentation;
3. Expected to liaise with clients (including banks), and other parties including other solicitors and government authorities i.e. Registrar of Titles, Stamp Office, LHDN etc.
4. Proficiency in English and Malay (verbal and written);
5. At least 1-2 years’ experience and above in the conveyancing practice.
6. Good working attitude and interpersonal skills is imperative.
7. LLB (Hons) with valid Practicing Certificate.
8. Dedicated and responsible towards his / her job;
9. Meticulous and independant.

(Junior) General Litigation Associate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Associate who is keen on developing a solid litigation foundation and intend to diversify their litigation portfolio of practice areas to include Contract Law, Native Customary Rights, Family Law, Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Criminal Law, Joint Management Body claims, Disciplinary Proceedings, various execution proceedings and/or those with interest in conducting pro-bono cases to join our team.

Those who possess 1-3 years post qualified experience (PQE), or those with prior litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Start Date : January 2024


Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Candidates who possess a valid practicing certificate will be preferred (although others including newly admitted lawyers or pupils soon to be called are welcome to apply);
2. Excellent command of English and Malay (verbal and written);
3. Ability to meet given internal and court deadlines;
4. Able to oversee progress of entire file with minimal supervision;
5. Ability to effectively assist as co-chair during Hearing and Trials (including virtual and physical);
6. Ability to attend Case Management, Hearings and/or Trials independently is an added advantage;
7. Good time management skills;
8. Team player and excellent communication skills is vital (be it in courtroom, with colleagues such as the ability to discuss to brainstorm, and most importantly with clients including updating them on the day-to-day work progress);
9. Good work ethics such as punctuality, being presentable for work, and a willingness to learn;
10. Passion for researching various litigation areas;
11. Candidates are expected to be familiarised with the Rules of Court 2012, basic contract law and Legal Profession Act 1976.
