Job Description:
1. Legal Assistant
- Candidate must have minimum of 1-5 years’ experience in dealing with Civil Litigation matters (Bodily Injury Claims, General Litigation & others).
- Able to conduct thorough and meticulous research on related matters.
- Drafting letters, legal opinions, pleadings, cause papers and submissions within short deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Familiar with EFS system (including e-filing of cause papers and conducting e-reviews) as well as attending to and/or assisting with Hearings, Trials and Appeals.
2. Litigation Clerk
- To assist lawyers in handling files relating to Civil Litigation (Bodily Injury Claims & others)
- To maintain, update file status and prepare a status report
- Competent in MS office and able to type correspondences and all forms of documentation with accuracy and speed
- Responsible and willing to learn with good working attitude
- Reliable and dedicated in work
- Basic file management skills is a must
- Basic knowledge in civil litigation is a must
- Carry out tasks assigned by lawyers from time to time.
3. Account Clerk
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced /Higher/Degree in Accounting / management or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of working experience in Accounting or Finance or management field. We are also accepting applications from fresh graduates for this role as training will be provided.
- Handling administrative duties and functions such as receiving documents, email, preparing payment vouchers, invoices or bills, cheques and receipt issuance to clients, petty cash etc
- Preparing status report for pending payments (Judgment record) & cause papers etc
- Follow-up payments from Insurance, compile & complete related documents for payment claims etc
- Preparing tax for monthly & yearly audit for both account (Office’ & Clients’)
- Preparing proper documentation & data for Accountant Report
- Preparing for renewal / application: (SAPC) Sijil Annual and Practising Certificate of lawyers
- Preparing daily & monthly overhead & operating costs such as rental, JLT Marsh, Bar Council, Selangor Bar, MPS renewal, staffing, office expenses etc
- Preparing MySST (Sales & Service Tax), e-CP39, Insurance etc
- Handling EFS System (Kehakiman) & My Trust ID (e-filing)
- Handling HLiB system ConnectBiz & ConnectFirst
- Handling assist.perkeso, KWSP, e-Zakat, AIA, oca e-Ikhlas (online) etc
- Handling & maintain bookkeeping for office expenses & record purposes
- Handling claim’s expenses, monthly claims, medical claims, leave (paid / unpaid) etc
- Handling stationery stock & other urgent requirement
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to listen to and take instructions and execute instructions in a timely manner
- Proactive, self-initiative & good attitude
