Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Junior Lawyer / Pupil-in-Chambers / Paralegal. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of legal matters, particularly in the areas of conveyancing, litigation (with a focus on family law and immigration), and legal research.
Available positions
(1) Junior Lawyer / Pupil-in-Chambers / Paralegal – Litigation (Family/Immigration)
(Pupil in Chambers will work under supervision)
- Handle independently or assist senior lawyers in family and immigration law matters, such as divorce, child custody, maintenance, and adoption cases.
- Prepare and file court documents, including petitions, affidavits, pleadings, submissions, and other cause papers.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations, and assist in representing clients in legal proceedings.
- Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
(2) Junior Lawyer / Pupil-in-Chambers – Conveyancing
(Pupil in Chambers will work under supervision)
- Draft and review legal documents related to property transactions, including sale and purchase agreements, tenancy agreements, and loan documentation.
- Conduct due diligence on properties, including title searches, land searches, and property valuations.
- Liaise with clients, financial institutions, government authorities, and any other relevant parties to ensure smooth completion of conveyancing transactions.
- Monitor and follow up closely with all the files with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognised university.
- Admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor or currently undergoing pupillage (if applying for lawyer or pupil-in-chambers position).
- Strong interest and knowledge in conveyancing, family law, and immigration law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to communicate in other languages will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently (not applicable to Pupil in Chambers position) and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to work, anticipating needs and self-assertive.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
