Job Description:
Junior Legal Associate and Pupil-in-Chambers to assist the partners in handling litigation briefs of various nature inclusive of civil, commercial and corporate disputes as well as criminal representation briefs. Job-scope includes preparation for hearings and trials, drafting, research, attending and/or assisting the partners in court proceedings and client management
Qualifications and Requirements:
For Junior Legal Associate:
1. Admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya + the necessary academic qualifications.
2. Experience: Candidates with 1 PQE and those who are freshly admitted to the Bar are encouraged to apply.
3. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
4. Display high confidence capabilities and able to contribute as an efficient team-player.
5. Able to work and deliver within tight datelines and highly responsible.
6. Has the crave and drive to learn.
7. Able to start as soon as possible or within a reasonable time frame.
8. Comfortable to travel out-station within West Malaysia to attend court proceedings beyond the Klang Valley.
9. Has his or her own transportation.
For Pupil-in-Chambers:
1. Academic: Bachelors of Law
2. Experience: Candidates who have internship experience in litigation firms or courts will be preferred.
3. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
4. Display high confidence capabilities and be able to contribute as an efficient team player.
5. Able to work and deliver within tight datelines and highly responsible.
