Job Description:
Legal Associate (Corporate)
• Assist partners in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements across multiple practice areas, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Prepare legal opinions, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents to support ongoing client matters.
• Conduct due diligence exercises, including documents review and preparation of due diligence reports for corporate transactions.
• Liaise with clients, government authorities and other external parties.
• Collaborate with the legal team to support client matters, contribute to legal strategy discussions and develop effective legal solutions.
• To support in legal marketing initiatives including preparing business proposals, writing articles and engaging in client outreach activities.
2. Admin
• Manage general office duties, including responding to emails, handling correspondence, answering phone calls, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
• Arrange outgoing mail and document deliveries via dispatch or courier services.
• Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks.
• Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, report preparation, and document organisation.
• Assist lawyers and partners with legal administrative tasks and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Legal Associate
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Corporate & Commercial Law (pupillage experience included).
• Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, contracts and agreements.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services within deadlines.
• Good command of English and Malay (both written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Proactive, innovative, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in English and Malay (proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage).
• Education: Minimum SPM/Diploma qualification.
• Experience: Preferably at least 1 year in a legal or administrative support role; fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Availability: Able to start immediately or on short notice.
