Job Description:
1) LITIGATION
-Handle the full spectrum of civil litigation matters, including drafting cause papers, pleadings, affidavits,
and submissions.
-Manage case files from inception to resolution, including attending case management, hearings, and full
trials.
-Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-reasoned legal opinions on various areas of law.
-Engage in client consultations, provide strategic legal advice, and develop case strategies.
-Liaise with courts, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth case progress and resolution.
2) Conveyancing
- Handle property transactions, ensuring all processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and manage Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA) and loan documentation.
- Liaise with clients to provide legal advice and ensure they understand the conveyancing process.
- Communicate with financial institutions, developers, and government authorities to facilitate transactions.
- Ensure the timely and smooth completion of all conveyancing matters.
- Conduct legal research related to conveyancing matters.
- Manage and update files systematically to ensure proper documentation.
3) Pupil-in-Chambers
-Gain hands-on experience in various aspects of civil litigation or conveyancing under the guidance of senior
counsel.
-Assist in legal research, drafting pleadings, submissions, and other court documents.
-Observe and support senior lawyers in client meetings, negotiations, and court proceedings.
-Develop strong analytical and advocacy skills through active participation in case preparation.
-Work collaboratively with the legal team to ensure effective case management and strategy execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-Newly called to the Bar or with up to 1 year of relevant litigation or conveyancing experience
-Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
-Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
-Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
-Able to work independently with minimal supervision (not applicable to Pupil-in-Chambers position)
-Willing to learn
-Good time management and organizational skills
-A team player with good interpersonal skills
-Own transport is a bonus and willingness to travel
-Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
