Job Summary:
The Head of Legal is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and compliance guidance and support across all aspects of the Group’s operations. This role will play a critical role in mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and supporting the achievement of the Group’s business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
• Provide proactive and insightful legal guidance to the senior management team on all legal and regulatory matters, including M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks across all aspects of the Group’s operations.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing legal team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from an acquired accredited institution. Additionally, a Master’s Degree in Law will be welcomed.
• 15 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in corporate law.
• A charismatic and dynamic leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong business partner with a deep understanding of commercial realities and the ability to build strong relationships.
• In-depth legal expertise, with an understanding of legal principles and practices, alongside specific knowledge in the realm of contract law, employment law, intellectual property and litigation.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.
