Job Description:
Key Responsibilities (Only allowed and supervised job scopes apply to Pupil in Chambers position)
• Attend to inquiries on intellectual property matters involving trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights;
• Handle Malaysian and international intellectual property applications, including liaising with foreign associates and preparing documents for filing and prosecution of IP rights locally and abroad;
• Monitor the progress and status of applications;
• Prepare responses to Office Actions and attend to ex-parte hearings before the Registrar;
• Ensuring that all IP matters are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner to comply with relevant deadline and regulations.
• Assist in the drafting and review of various corporate, commercial, and intellectual property agreements; and
• Participate actively in the firm’s business development and client relationship initiatives.
