Job Description:
Legal Associate (Conveyancing)
Job Scope & Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle conveyancing matters independently, including Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA), loan documentation, sub-sales, auctions, refinancing, transfers, and transmission cases
2. Manage files from initial instruction up to completion and post-completion stages
3. Draft, review, and prepare conveyancing and loan-related legal documents accurately and promptly
4. Liaise and correspond with clients, bankers, developers, agents, and relevant authorities (Land Office, LHDN, local councils, etc.)
5. Conduct title searches, bankruptcy and company searches, and attend to stamping and registration matters
6. Monitor timelines closely to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and bank deadlines
7. Update clients regularly on file status and provide professional advice where necessary
8. Supervise and guide clerks/para-legal staff on conveyancing files

2. Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, cause papers, and other court documents
3. Prepare and manage e-filing, case management, and court documentation
4. Attend court proceedings, hearings, case management, and conduct trials where required
5. Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions, written submissions, and reports
6. Prepare status updates and reports to superiors and clients in a timely manner
7. Liaise with clients, counsel, court officers, and relevant authorities
8. Ensure all litigation matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with court rules and timelines
9. Perform any other legal work as assigned by the Firm from time to time

Qualifications and Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must be a qualified Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with a valid Practicing Certificiate
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred (fresh graduates will be considered)
- Detail-oriented, organise
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive working attitude
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an advantage)
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and a team player
- Able to travel to courts for court matters
