Job Description:
Legal Associate (Civil Litigation)
We are looking for a Legal Associate to join our growing litigation practice. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of contentious matters and will be expected to handle files with increasing independence.
Scope of Work
1. Drafting and preparing cause papers, pleadings, affidavits, submissions, written submissions, and other court documents;
2. Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions;
3. Attending client meetings and providing legal advice;
4. Attending case managements, hearings, trials, and appeals at all court levels;
5. Handling civil litigation matters including (but not limited to):
o Civil and commercial disputes
o Family and matrimonial proceedings
o Banking and financial litigation
o Insurance-related matters (including Third Party Bodily Injury / Third Party Property Damage)
6. Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and relevant stakeholders;
7. Carrying out other legal work as may be assigned by the Firm from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and duly admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya;
• Minimum 2–5 years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in civil litigation;
• Able to handle files with minimal supervision;
• Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills;
• Excellent command of Bahasa Melayu and English (both written and spoken);
• Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage;
• Responsible, committed, and willing to learn;
• Able to work independently and as part of a team;
• Able to multitask and work under pressure;
• Possess own transportation.
