Job Description:
Litigation Associate:
Represent clients in litigation matters including preparing pleadings, court submissions, and trial preparation.
Advise clients on various civil and commercial disputes, including but not limited to contractual matters, property disputes, tort claims, and debt recovery.
Manage cases from initial consultation to trial, including drafting legal documents, researching case law and negotiating settlements.
Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide legal advice on the best course of action.
Participate in settlement discussions and mediations when necessary.
Give constructive and practical solutions to clients.
Corporate Associate:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including joint ventures and shareholders agreements.
Advise clients on corporate structuring, governance, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and compliance with Malaysian laws.
Conduct due diligence for M&A transactions and corporate restructuring.
Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, memos, and reports on corporate and regulatory matters.
Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external counsel on legal matters.
Keep abreast of legal developments, particularly in areas of corporate and commercial law.

Independent and able to handle litigation matters and trials in lower courts.
Strong understanding of Malaysian court procedures and practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and BM.
Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) will be an added advantage.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.

2-4 years PQE in corporate matters with exposure to M&A, commercial contracts and corporate governance.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
A team player with a proactive and client-focused approach.
