Job Description:
We are looking for a driven Legal Associate to join our firm on a fully remote and flexible working basis at present, supporting both our Corporate and Litigation practices. While the position is currently fully remote, the role may require occasional physical attendance at client meetings and court proceedings where necessary.
Corporate / Commercial, M&A and Capital Markets
- Advise on corporate and commercial matters, including M&As, joint ventures, shareholders arrangements, and corporate restructuring.
- Draft, review, and assist in the negotiation of corporate and commercial agreements, including Share Sale Agreements (SSA), Shareholders Agreements (SHA), subscription and investment agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Conduct legal due diligence and prepare due diligence reports.
- Assist in capital markets related work, including drafting and reviewing announcements, circulars, submission documents, information memorandum and prospectuses.
Litigation
- Draft court cause papers, pleadings, and submissions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions.
- Attend court proceedings where required.
- Assist in handling civil, corporate and commercial litigation matters.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1-4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and/or litigation, preferably with a reputable/leading law firm.
- Have experience in, and/or a keen interest in, corporate & commercial matters, M&As, and equity capital markets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous, reliable and committed to high standards of work.
- Excellent research, drafting, and opinion-writing skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Willing to learn, able to work under pressure, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Available to commence employment on 1 April 2026.
