Job Description:
We are looking for Associate, Dispute Resolution (“DR”) who will work directly with the Partner/Head of DR Department.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of civil litigation matters e.g. corporate, commercial, contractual, banking, employment, tortious and cross border matters, and is expected to discharge his/her duties and responsibilities as a competent and diligent Advocate and Solicitor.
Main responsibilities will include the following: -
1. To assist on drafting of cause papers, research and submission including handling of family law matters, Probate & Admin and Arbitration.
2. To attend case management proceedings, matters in chambers, hearing and trials;
3. To provide properly considered opinions and meet tight timelines;
4. To be able to understand and apply diverse areas of law.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years PQE;
• Good command of English, BM and Mandarin will be an advantage;
• Able to perform a variety of task both under supervision and/or independently;
• Good research, drafting and opinion-writing skills;
• Thorough, diligent & responsible;
• Good time management & punctuality; and
• Able to work under pressure.

Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong was founded in 1999. Our founder partners were part of the regional cross-border team of a law firm in South East Asia with experience in cross border investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.
