Yes. The following charges apply for the job vacancy advertisements:*
a) Advertisements by Malaysian law firms - RM150 per week for law firms, for up to 2 vacancies in a single advertisement. RM200 per week for law firms, for 3 or more vacancies in a single advertisement
b) Advertisements by other Malaysian entities (not law firms) - RM500 per week
c) Advertisements by foreign entities - USD250 per week
Your vacancy advertisement will be published once it has been approved, and full payment has been received. All payments must be made in advance, and include all bank charges. Payment options are as follows:

The following alternative payment options are also available.
a) Cheque, payable to “Malaysian Bar”;
b) Cash payment, at the ground floor of the Bar Council Secretariat (up to RM250 only); or
c) Direct deposit to Hong Leong Bank Berhad (Account Name: "Malaysian Bar", Account No: 00200760645, SWIFT Code: HLBBMYKL). Please submit a copy of the bank slip by email at jobs@malaysianbar.org.my.
Kindly also note that we reserve the right to implement any necessary changes to our policies on goods and services that we may supply or on supplies we may receive from vendors.
- Job vacancy advertisement
a) To post a job vacancy advertisement, complete the online form here. You can use the existing advertisements as a guide.
b) Click on the “Preview” button once you have provided the necessary information, and check the details to ensure accuracy.
c) You can print out a copy of the advertisement for your own reference. You will also receive a copy of the advertisement at the email address you provided.
d) Click on the “Submit” button to submit the vacancy advertisement to the Bar Council for approval. You will receive a notification email at the email address you provided.
e) Please proceed to make the required payment.
f) Your vacancy advertisement will be published once it has been approved, and full payment has been received. You will receive a notification email at the email address you provided.
- Can I advertise vacancies for non-law-related positions on your website?
Yes, if you are a Malaysian law firm, and the content of your vacancy advertisement is approved by the Bar Council.

Why was my job posting edited?
We may edit your job vacancy advertisement to comply with the Legal Profession Act 1976, the Rules and Rulings of the Bar Council,
Legal Profession (Publicity) Rules 2001 and other relevant laws/rules and policies, without further reference or notification to you.
